Three steps · about two minutes

Connect your shop in about two minutes

You already have an account. This is the one thing left between you and your tools working — telling us which system runs your shop, and pasting one API token. Here's the whole thing, start to finish.

Name your shop

This is how it shows up across your apps and to your team. Type your shop's name, tell us how you found us, and hit Continue.

The Name your shop form — shop name field, a 'how did you hear about us' choice, and the Continue button.

Pick your shop system

Choose the system that runs your shop. Shopmonkey is ready today. Tekmetric and Mitchell are on the way.

The shop-system choice — Shopmonkey selected and ready to connect, Tekmetric and Mitchell marked coming soon.

Paste your Shopmonkey API token

This is the step that trips people up. You need one API token from Shopmonkey. We store it encrypted in Vault, and your apps never see it.

Here's where to get it:

  1. Open app.shopmonkey.cloud/settings/api
  2. Click New API Key
  3. Name it BriansTools and press Save
  4. Copy the key — Shopmonkey only shows it once — and paste it back here
The connect screen — token pasted, the where-to-get-it instructions, and the Connect & finish button ready.
Shopmonkey's API Keys settings page — the New API Key button, outlined, in the top right.
The Shopmonkey side: settings → API Keys → the New API Key button, top right.

Then press Connect & finish. We check the connection right away — if the check fails, the screen tells you why. The usual fix is copying the key again from Shopmonkey, since it only shows the key once.

That's the whole setup

When the connection goes through, this is what you see — your tools, on and working for your shop.

The hub after connecting — 'Your tools: everything here is on and working for your shop,' with the tools ready to open. Open the hub and finish connecting →

Straight answers

The questions we get about connecting.

Where do I get the API token?

In Shopmonkey, at app.shopmonkey.cloud/settings/api → New API Key. Name it BriansTools, Save, and copy it right away.

I lost the token / it stopped working.

Shopmonkey only shows a key once. Make a new one the same way and paste it in again — the old one can be deleted in Shopmonkey.

Is my Shopmonkey login safe?

We never see your Shopmonkey password. The API token is stored encrypted in Vault, and it's the only thing that connects the two.

What if I get stuck?

Call (253) 881-1614. A real person answers, usually one of us at the counter.
